Coach Melissa Holzopfel

Coach Melissa Holzopfel is currently a Senior on the Cleveland State University softball team. A graduate of Perry High school in Massillon, Ohio where she was a 2 time state champion and Stark County Player of the year. She threw a one-hitter in the State title game in 2021. She was nominated for Women’s Gatorade Player of the Year for 2021. 

At CSU, she has earned many awards such as 1st Team and All-Tournament team as well as Freshman of the Year for Horizon League. She has over 350 Strikeouts in her career at CSU. She has been playing softball since she was in elementary school. She played travel ball with the Ohio Wolfpack during her summers. She has been giving lessons for 5 years.
