Coach Mark Thomas

BIO

Former professional baseball player was a 21st round draft choice of the Montreal Expos in 1999. He played college baseball at Youngstown State University from 1997-1999 and was inducted into the YSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013.

Mark began his coaching career in the fall of 2000 at an indoor baseball facility in exchange for a place to train for his upcoming season. He quickly obtained a deep passion for teaching the game of baseball and over the next 20 plus years he has taught thousands of boys and girls the fundamentals of the game.

“I am a big believer in making the game as fun as possible all while focusing on the basic fundamentals. All the fancy apps, technology and advanced techniques are great but if you’re not having fun and don’t have a solid foundation to build on, nothing else matters.”
